About
Westley Harwart is a fine artist, designer, and educator based in the DFW Metroplex. He serves as an Assistant Professor of Art and Art History with Tarrant County College.
Westley Harwart earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Texas at Arlington with focuses in photography and printmaking. He earned a Master of Fine Arts from Texas Woman’s University with a focus in photography, multimedia and installation arts, as well as new media. Outside of his official studies Westley has researched topics within fields such as Theology, Philosophy, History, and Systems Theory.
Outside of academics and studio arts, Westley has been involved with many hobbies and activities such as music, video games, tabletop games, and hiking. He has worked construction in Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina, played the bass in a local rock band, spent a summer exploring the natural beauty of Colorado, created and managed online Dungeons & Dragons games for people from all around the world, worked as a letterpress operator for a couture stationary company, and has worked in several retail and hospitality jobs throughout DFW.
